“I see the joy of the Lord in you, but I think the root of that joy comes from contentment in God”... these words were spoken to me on a long drive back from ministry, and the weight of this statement hit me like a ton of bricks. It humbled me, it challenged me, and woke me up to the reality that I so easily cover up in clouds of striving, and comparison, and worry.
Looking back on the last several months it was those moments of complete contentment in who God is and who I am in Him that make the most sense. Through the craziness that MA season can be God continually called me back to a place of peace in him, reminding me that it’s not the ‘doing’ that He is after, it’s the ‘being’. And man, the ‘being’ is so sweet. He opened my heart up to experience Him in the big and the small. In the testimonies of students, in the laughter heard out at a dump site, in work projects, and worship, and shooting stars (17 of them to be exact), God’s goodness is saturating our lives, I just needed to shift my perspective. He is a good father and I am honored to be his child.
This MA season was a huge part of that goodness. Through hanging out at rehab centers and orphanages, through house builds, and sessions back on base God’s love and truth was experienced by our students, by the locals out in the community, and by us as staff.
There were people who heard God speak for the first time, who gave their lives to Christ, and a blind woman received sight after being prayed for our last cycle! This is just the tiniest glimpse of the impact that came from stepping into what the Holy Spirit was doing.
In a week we will be heading to Salem, OR to meet with other MAers from North America for a time of brainstorming and creating with the Lord to see what the theme for next year will be.
It’s crazy to already be thinking about next season, but we are really excited. Please keep all of us in your prayers as we travel and plan. Later this fall we have a few more conferences we're attending and will be teaching. Please pray that we can learn and impart as we travel.

Were excited to say we have moved into another rental house. We weren't expecting to move and it was stressful while it happened, but looking back it was such a blessing. Our new place is incredible! You have to come visit, and we have a guest room for you now! With a bigger house comes the increase in rent. One of our prayers as we finish this year is to raise more financial support. Please pray with us!
