Hello friends! We are writing to you from beautiful Montana. In May, we made our way up to the YWAM Lakeside Base (also home of Mission Builders International which is where we are). Of course we visited a few national parks along the way:) Soaking up the nature has felt like such a gift.
This summer we have continued our season of training and better equipping ourselves for the longevity of ministry. My main focus has been interning with the debriefing department here. This is an incredible ministry whose purpose is to come alongside of people, to listen, to ask questions, and to help bring biblical perspective. This is done through a week long process of guiding people through reflection of what they have walked through and how the Lord has been moving through it all. I have been getting hands on experience as I second chair during these weeks, and it has been incredible. Ronnie and I both were debriefed about a year ago, and it brought such deep and powerful healing to us. We realized we wanted to be better equipped to help others walk through their own valleys with the proper tools to grieve and process while still holding onto hope. We are very excited to see how God will use this ministry moving forward.
Ronnie has been participating in a few weeks of debriefing as well, but his main focus has been earning his TESOL certification. (Teaching English to speakers of other languages). He has been doing a lot of online schooling and video submitting. We believe this will help us greatly with future ministry opportunities with refugees, and/or provide future opportunities in other countries. It’s a lot of work, but very exciting to be working towards such a practical and helpful goal.
Along with these 2 main focuses we have been helping out with some projects around the Mission Builder Internaional base. MBI is a part of YWAM that focuses on matching up volunteers with their talents and expertise with YWAM bases and their needs. If you are ever interested in doing short term volunteer work around the world, MBI is the best place to get started:) Ronnie has helped clear some land out for their new building, we have done some painting projects, and other maintenance jobs. We love being a part of this family for the summer and gaining a bigger perspective on the different ways ministry is happening globally.

Ronnie clearing trees to prep the land for a new building.

I am working on a world map mural for the MBI office, finished pics coming soon.
Painting murals while pregnant is a lot more tiring then it used to be : )

Ronnie will be repainting the YWAM logo on ywam's water tower. This was a dry run up to the top.
Ok, now for the really fun stuff…. We’re pregnant and can’t wait to meet our little guy!! I am currently 23 (almost) weeks along and feeling pretty good, just big and tired, haha. All of our tests and check-ups have gone fantastic and he is developing perfectly. This pregnancy has brought up new emotions of grieving and missing Orion, and fear does try to sneak it’s way into or minds, but the Lord seemed to breathe His peace on us from the first day, and we continue to trust Him every step. We are so thankful for this precious life. December can’t get here soon enough!

Ronnie has been humoring my cravings :)
We will head back to San Diego mid September and continue working with YWAM San Diego Baja, but will be living stateside for this season. Our roles will look a little different than before, as the Chula Vista office focuses more on providing support/logistics for the Tijuana and Ensenada bases. There is also opportunity for pioneering some new ministries which we are excited about. Ronnie will continue to build houses with Homes of Hope when possible, and we are continuing to serve with Mission Adventures International. This fall MA International will be hosting a conference in Ensenada! Hope to see you there!
We have many changes and adjustments coming, but we couldn't be more excited. Would you take time to pray for us and this next season? Here are some prayer points:
-Pray for the new little one
-Our travel back from Montana to San Diego Baja
-Our finances (We have a need for monthly supporters, please reach out and ask ?'s)
-Our new season of Ministry

Ronnie's parent's came out for a visit
