Hello friends and family : ). We are excited to share that we graduated from our Community Development School this week. The books are read, the journals are completed, and our final projects are turned in. The last three months have been incredible. As some of you may know, we have been interested in this school for quite some time, but to be honest, this has felt like perfect timing. We have gleaned from the wisdom and experience of other missionaries who have walked out the principals of community development over the years. We looked at all sorts of communities around the world, ways to assess them, business as missions, what it looks like to stay healthy on the field, micro financing, what biblical justice really looks like, and working with the gifts and resources of the local people to bring a community into alignment with the Lord's design. And that's just naming a few topics covered. God has challenged our thinking and continues to mold our hearts and minds. I am sure if we get a chance to talk to you in person sometime soon, you will hear many more highlights. You just know when you are experiencing something that will have a lasting impact on you.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SCHOOL 2022

Along with classtime, we partnered with a YWAM ministry, La Industria, that has been working in a local community for several years. We would meet the kids on a basketball court once a week to play games, build relationships, and teach the concepts we had been learning that week in school. Beautiful things are happening in this community. Ronnie and I also had the priveledge to be a part of Mission Adventures for a week. We led some staff training before the students arrived and got to be the speakers for a week. The base hosted around 130 students, mostly from Norway, and one team from Colorado. It was so much fun to be a part of MA in this capactiy, it felt like home.

As we wrap up the school, we are preparing for our next 6 months. We will be heading up to Montana towards the end of April to continue our season of training with YWAM in Lakeside. My main focus will be interning with their debriefing ministry. Ronnie and I went through a week long debrief about a year ago, and it was life changing. It brought healing, clarity, and more space for the Holy Spirit to continue speaking into our lives. At the time, we felt like learning these tools would be incredibly beneficial to our minsitry moving forward. I am super excited to learn more in this area.
Ronnie's main focus will be earning his TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification. This will also be extremely beneficial for ministry. It feels like the Lord is strategically equipping us and we are excited for what the future holds.
We ask that you keep us in your prayers over the next several months.
SPECIFIC PRAYER REQUESTS
- Travel safety. We are hauling a camper up to Montana to live in while we are there.
- Continual growth during our time in Montana.
- The Lord is putting together pieces for our future ministry. We want to be open and obedient to what He says.
- Finances
- Tijuana and Ensenada are preparing for their summer MA season, where dozens of student's lives will be changed.
- Currently here in TJ, many refugees from Ukraine and some from Russia are seeking asylum in the U.S. The numbers have grown steadily over the last couple days, weeks. They are sleeping at a park. Pray with us for the families as they navigate a horrible situation.
We love getting to catch up with you on a more personal level. Please feel free to call or email anytime, Love you dearly!
