We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. It has been far too long since we have shared about our little family, but that does not mean that you haven't been on our hearts and minds.
A lot has happened so buckle up for some highlights and lots of pictures.
Just in case you missed our last update, we have moved back down to Mexico! We made the transition in December and we are back in Ensenada. While being back down here feels very natural, transition is always tricky and doesn’t come without its aches and pains. The Lord continues to pour out His comfort, perspective, and guidance to us. We have been blessed to have both sets of parents out to see us already. They helped with projects around the house, we celebrated my dad’s 77th birthday, and Shepherd had endless one on one time with his Papaw’s and Gigi’s. He is one very loved little boy.
Ronnie taught Revelation in the Bible school at YWAM Rancho Abierto. It was his first time with this book, and he did an incredible job. Lot’s of fun class discussions.

We had our staff conference with all three campuses. The keynote speaker was Michel and Claudia Hendricks. They work with LifeModelWorks, an organization I have been learning from over the last couple years about discipleship and brain science. It was such a blessing to hear from them in person, and continue to learn in this area.
Jacob and Malachi got to come down for a week. These sweet cousins had a blast together!
Ronnie has led several Homes of Hope builds, including one as I am typing this up, with our dear friends from Gig Harbor. Being able to share the love of Jesus in such a practical way never gets old.
We were asked to come teach in the family DTS at Rancho Abierto again this year, and it was an absolute blast! The Ranch feels like a second home, and the work the Lord is doing through families there is really beautiful. There are currently 10 families from 6 different nations on outreach. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue to serve and share Jesus.

Two weeks ago we flew back to Ohio for Ronnie to do a couple projects on his parents property. We also got to meet with a few families that will be coming down for a mission trip in October. We popped up to Minnesota to spend a couple days on the lake with dear friends. Good conversations, laughter, and the water were so refreshing.
In between all of this we have facilitated several debriefs (10+) since the beginning of the year. Most have been the week-long model we have been doing over the last few years, but we also had the privilege of debriefing DTS staff after outreach, and Mission Adventures staff after their spring season. In March I flew up to Montana for 10 days to help with a large group debrief. My favorite thing about debriefing is the people you get to work with. Whether it’s the ones helping debrief or the ones sharing their stories, working in such personal ways with other people shapes you and plays a part in us working out our faith.

There has also been North American Mission Adventures meetings, kitchen shifts, a few projects at Rancho Abierto and as much outdoor time with Shepherd as possible. Shepherd is growing like crazy. He is quite the chatterbox with an imagination that has really come alive, and is up for learning how to do anything that Ronnie or I do. He is such a joy to our family.

We want to thank you for your prayers and support. No matter what God calls you to, it takes the body of Christ to walk it out well. We are no exception. We could not do this without your prayers and support. Thank you for not only believing in the work the Lord is doing, but for participating in it as well.
